New DNA findings for Unipolar depression

In the past year we have contributed to a number of published papers that have used data from the Depression Case Control (DeCC) and Depression Network (DeNT) family studies. One of these studies found that variations in DNA (called copy number variants) were associated with recurrent depression.

These findings are an important step toward identifying the biological underpinnings of the disorder.

Thank you to all those who participated in these important studies.
