PhD study update – experiences of living with bipolar disorder

My name is Kim Caldwell and I was delighted to join BDRN in October 2017 to start my PhD, which explores peoples’ experiences of living with bipolar disorder. Now that I am almost half way through my PhD, I wanted to update you all with my progress. I recently finished interviewing my first group of participants, and have been busy collating and going through the findings. The experiences you have shared with me are important as they help to shape the questions that I will ask participants in future. We anticipate that the findings of this research will be helpful for tailoring interventions to help prevent episodes and promote recovery. I would like to say a special thank you to all participants who have taken part so far, I have really enjoyed meeting you all and look forward to updating you with my findings.
