BDRN True Colours monitoring the impact of COVID-19 on individuals with mood disorders

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues BDRN True Colours is monitoring the impact of the crisis on individuals with mood disorders, many of whom will be faced with a number of challenges during this difficult period.

Many BDRN participants are currently monitoring their mood with the True Colours weekly online mood monitoring tool as part of our ongoing research programme to help understand more about how mood symptoms present over time in individuals with mood disorders.

In response to the current crisis and feedback from participants, we are asking BDRN True Colours participants to complete additional weekly questions specifically concerned with the impact of COVID-19. These questions ask individuals about how they are coping with and managing their mood symptoms during the pandemic and how their contact with mental health services has changed. We hope this will help to highlight the impact of the crisis on individuals with mood disorders over time and inform the development of sources of help.

If you would be interested in joining True Colours mood monitoring or have any questions about our research please do not hesitate to get in touch. As always we would be delighted to hear from you: moodresearch@worc.ac.uk
