Members of the BDRN team were pleased to present at the 24th Annual Conference of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) 10th-12th June 2022.
Dr Katherine Gordon-Smith (University of Worcester), Dr Marisa Dias (Cardiff University) and Dr Kate Saunders (University of Oxford) all gave presentations during a symposium session titled Comorbid Borderline Personality Disorder and Traits in Bipolar Disorder: Implications and Future Directions.
The session was chaired by BDRN’s Professor Lisa Jones and offered the opportunity to present and discuss findings related to comorbid borderline personality disorder and traits in bipolar disorder and discuss the implications of this comorbidity for those living with bipolar disorder and for diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. The very recent work of our BDRN PhD student Emma Tickle, who interviewed individuals about their experiences of living with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder, was presented as part of the symposia.
The keynote presentations, symposium sessions and posters covered a wide range of important issues with fascinating new insights from researchers all around the world. As always it was a privilege to attend and present at the conference.
